Abstract:
Even though modern slavery is widespread, it is largely invisible. The Global Slavery Index is an attempt to measure the problem. We consider the findings of the global slavery concerning the prevalence of modern slavery in countries, the vulnerability of countries, and the government response of countries. We use fuzzy similarity measures to compare the rankings of the countries on The Global Slavery Index with respect to vulnerability, government response, and prevalence. We then develop several indices in fuzzy graph theory to measure the susceptibility of paths involving trafficking.
