Abstract:
Traditional resource management (TRM) systems develop depending on local conditions, such as climate, culture, and environment. The use of resources and people is intimately linked through the practice of TRM systems and this relationship needs to be understood to advance sustainable resource use. This article presents the results of a survey conducted to document traditional medicinal knowledge and skills, as well as to gain an understanding of the local TRM system.
