Abstract:
The research question to which we devote our analysis is the key dilemma within sex education: children are taught to be friendly and helpful to strangers, and at the same time wary and careful of possible predators. We aim to determine at what age, and to what extent, children master this delicate balance in their thinking and in their speech. Strategies used by teachers to guide young childrens (4 to 8 years) learning are also discussed and evaluated.
