Abstract:
The present study seeks to investigate associations between moral judgments and behaviour in PvP multiplayer video games to answer whether interactions via personalized avatars contribute to or reduces anti-social and aggressive behaviours among the players. The impact of the character profile, created from scratch or selected from the list of available options, on a players moral behaviour was discussed. We determined if the level of engagement affects the fundamental behavioural choices (to act good or to act evil). Finally, we discussed whether positive or negative social behaviour in a multiplayer affects the players behaviour in real life and morality in general.
