Abstract:
This article shows the progress of a pilot project on quality assurance in hospital management through the lens of institutional theory. The findings suggest initial approval of the project, followed by a gradual frustration of operations management due to external performance pressures and internal data issues. Despite these problems, the regional leadership noted the success of the project and extended it to other departments.
