Abstract:
The article is aimed at studying the ability of threatening communication to favorably change the preventive behavior of children (8–12 years old) in the context of oral hygiene. The results show that the use of threat messages can be a powerful way to convince children to adopt healthy oral hygiene behaviors, and that physical threats are more effective than social threats.
